Yes, insurance is a requirement for any storage unit. If you have homeowners or renter's insurance, it may also extend to your storage unit. Please check your coverage with your agent to see whether storage coverage is included or can be added to your policy. If you do not have your insurance, we require SBOA Tenant Insurance for your items. It is recommended that customers utilize our plan even if they are using their homeowners or renter's policy, as it prevents your insurance premiums from going up in the event of a claim and pays out prior to insurance claims.
All leases we offer are month-to-month. Whether you only need storage for a month or longer, there is no need to sign an additional lease to accommodate a greater need. Stay for as long as you will need storage without fear of lengthy commitments. While you are welcome to utilize your storage unit for less than a month, prepayment of one month is required and will not be prorated if your use is less than one month.
A valid driver's license or Government-issued photo ID is required to rent a unit.

We offer many convenient ways to pay at our locations: automatic payments can be set up, credit card, check, and cash; online, in-person, and phone payments.
Access hours are when our customers can access their units and either load or unload them. Office hours are the hours our office is open for business. Things that you may need during office hours include rent payment – should you opt to pay in person – purchase of additional moving supplies, and transferring or vacating a unit.

Sarah and David were very pleasant. However, potential customers should know there is a mandatory monthly insurance fee which is quite expensive added to your monthly rental, and you are not allowed to waive unless you provide proof of homeowners coverage.
The office staff is quite friendly and knowledgeable. The facility is on flat, paved grounds and well lit. If you need a self storage in the Albany, NY you won't be disappointed!
Great staff, was lovely to chat with them. It's a little pricey compared to the competition. But they do give a buy one get one for the first two months so if youre looking short term they are perfect. Good units, very clean, elevated to prevent flooding, definitely recommend.

Great experience! I reserved a unit online over the weekend and David called me Monday morning to see if I had any questions. I went to office to finalize the paperwork, and I was so impressed by how personable and helpful he was. I was very impressed with the service I received from Sarah at Moove In Self Storage... she got me set up with a 10x10 unit right away, and then easily moved me into a 10x15 when I realized I needed a larger unit. I spent a few hours at the Glenmont location because of a break-down with the rental truck, and she was quite patient with the whole event. I also noticed the professional manner she approached a couple of other incidents at the location (a car that wouldn't start, and helping other customers). I would highly recommend this location (just don't let them get you hooked on the office candy)!

We have had storage spaces at this facility for many years, so I was concerned when new management took over. But Sara from Moove In answered all my questions (I had a lot) and made the transition absolutely painless. No doubt she was very busy, but she was patient and attentive. Sara has a really positive, helpful approach — she is clearly focused on customer satisfaction and I can tell she has my best interests at heart. (I wish all my customer service experiences were this good!) I recommend choosing this clean, safe, and reasonably-priced storage facility, and I recommend working with Sara when you do!

The things that prompt need of a storage unit are sometimes joyous, sometimes very much not. Usually on some level, they’re always stressful. Sara and the Moov-In team are kind, efficient, funny and genuinely caring people, and the customer experience here has been some of the best I’ve experienced in a long while. Great security, excellent Units that are easy to find and extremely accessible. 1 one of my large company units raised my price 40 dollars a month with no warning. Glenmont never raised my fee. Ethical, Moral and friendly to boot! Definitely use Glenmont Self Storage.

My family stored some of my mom’s things at Glenmont Self Storage in a temperature controlled space for two years. They lent us their truck to move everything in and two years later everything was still spotless - not even dusty. Very nice and well secured facility.
I utilized Glenmont Self Storage to store away items for a few month while looking for a house in the area. Their facilities are clean, secure, and simple to access and navigate. While I didn’t have a temp controlled unit, even still, in the winter, my items weren’t subjected to any extreme climate. The team is per easy to work with and professional. If I need to store anything again, I’ll certainly be returning! Highly recommend!

Friendly service, easy to sign up and cancel. The site is extremely clean and has nice storage units. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for extra storage.

The facility is very well maintained. Office was very helpful with helping determine my storage needs. Being able to use their truck was so much easier then renting somewhere else. Would absolutely use it again

I cannot recommend this place enough. I have stored here on 2 separate occasions long term and have had the best experience both times. Most recently we used a temp controlled unit while we built our house. The facility is very secure and always clean and accessible. The owner is honest and easy to do business with, he even called to confirm we were all moved out and didn’t charge us for an additional month after I forgot to call and let him know. If you have valuable things you need stored I highly recommend glenmont self storage!
Garo and Maria are great people! They’re friendly and go above and beyond for their customers, they are so kind to give me a discount and choosing the perfect storage spot for me. The storage space is up to date, extremely clean and very convenient! It’s a family own storage place so they are very attentive and always there when you need help.
