Northwest Self Storage FAQ

Is there a minimum rental period?

All leases are month-to-month with no long-term commitment required. You can store for as little as one month or continue your storage for as long as you need, even if you’re not sure how long that is at this time.

What documents do I need to reserve a storage unit?

We require a state or government issued ID*, like a driver's license or passport, and a method to pay your first month’s rent and any other fees you may owe. We recommend enrolling in our autopay service using a credit card to ensure easy and convenient payment.

*See checkout process for details.

Is There Anything I Can't Store?

Prohibited items include perishable goods, living things, illegal or illegally obtained items, hazardous or flammable materials, weapons and ammunition, and items that violate local, state, or federal laws.

How can I pay my rent each month for my storage unit?

NSA Storage offers an easy-to-use online payment portal where tenants can set up autopay or make a one-time payment with any major credit or debit card. During office hours, we can process a payment with any major credit or debit cards, contactless payment, check, or money order. Please note that all our locations are cashless except where prohibited by state or local law.

What is the difference between access hours and office hours?

Access hours are the times when our customers can access their units and either load or unload them. Access hours typically have a wider range than office hours. Office hours are the hours our office is open for business. Things that you may need to do during office hours include paying rent– should you opt to pay in person– purchasing additional moving supplies, and transferring or vacating a unit.

UPDATE: Had a good conversation with the newest manager of this facility. The issues I had getting the unit and account closed have been resolved, and the billing they had sent me was cleared. They explained that a lot of the issues were from previous management. I cannot attest to any of that, but they did take care of the billing problems, so I'm increasing my rating. ~~~~~~ After the last time, I didn't want to have to write another review, but people need to be aware of these things before they make a big mistake. I'll explain the most recent headache with them. Finally had the time to sort and move my stuff to a new place. I moved my stuff out, told them when it would be done, and left only the spare combination lock that was their property anyway, on the door. End time came, they messaged and asked if we were done with unit. I again explained that lock on there was theirs, but there were a couple items (garbage) that were in unit. Daughter was in a car accident and I was unable to get back in there. before they locked the me out. (They lock the gate on you the day after the due date.) Their person tells me thats fine, they'll get it taken care of and fix account so I'm not bothered again. This was June 4th. I am still receiving messages and lien notices. Below are the reasons that I wanted to get away from this place, caveat emptor: From the very beginning I had problems here. Their security cameras had stuff sprayed on and covering them. If anyone was looking, they'd of known. Months of calls and emails, with either no response or "Yes, we'll get right on it." Finally I talked to somebody (on the coast?) who actually got it taken care of. Took at least 6 months to clean off a couple cameras? As someone else said, off and on garbage all over. Person was camping in a unit near mine (Left food, sleeping bag, beer cans, etc) After all that, they raised my rates every few months. After I complained, nothing. Wrote a Google Review, they said they'd help. They took off $5 off the increased rate. Then a few months later, yep, raised it again. Ended up paying well over double the original "intro rate" they advertise.
