iStorage Self Storage FAQ

Is there a minimum rental period?

All leases are month-to-month with no long-term commitment required. You can store for as little as one month or continue your storage for as long as you need, even if you’re not sure how long that is at this time.

What documents do I need to reserve a storage unit?

We require a state or government issued ID*, like a driver's license or passport, and a method to pay your first month’s rent and any other fees you may owe. We recommend enrolling in our autopay service using a credit card to ensure easy and convenient payment.

*See checkout process for details.

Is There Anything I Can't Store?

Prohibited items include perishable goods, living things, illegal or illegally obtained items, hazardous or flammable materials, weapons and ammunition, and items that violate local, state, or federal laws.

How can I pay my rent each month for my storage unit?

NSA Storage offers an easy-to-use online payment portal where tenants can set up autopay or make a one-time payment with any major credit or debit card. During office hours, we can process a payment with any major credit or debit cards, contactless payment, check, or money order. Please note that all our locations are cashless except where prohibited by state or local law.

What is the difference between access hours and office hours?

Access hours are the times when our customers can access their units and either load or unload them. Access hours typically have a wider range than office hours. Office hours are the hours our office is open for business. Things that you may need to do during office hours include paying rent– should you opt to pay in person– purchasing additional moving supplies, and transferring or vacating a unit.

Everyone goes through hard times, and at some point you have to be realistic and remind yourself of that. But not to knock yourself down off of some "platform" and not because it makes you seem expectant nor entitled if you reach out and ask for help. Asking for help or sharing with people who have expectations of you when you are facing hard times has become obsolete. Because people like Jessica have become obsolete. I don't have enough kind words to express my gratitude for this woman and her openness to hear me out and her willingness to work with me, never made me feel pressured or guilty when I couldn't make a payment on time and for a multitude of other ways she has gone out of her way to not only reassure me my belongings were safe but to help me ensure that they were! There is no timeline of the gap between down bad and back on your own two feet. But if the world had more people like Jessica -> open minded, understanding, compassionate, trusting and honest, I bet that gap would begin to close for people much sooner. I have and I would trust her again basically with my life, because at one point everything I owned in this entire world minus the clothes on my back, a bike and a backpack were under here care. Never was there a time I couldn't not get to them, and as long as I was upfront and honest about having to make a late payment she was always willing to try and find a way to work with me if and when I needed it. Example I needed to sell an item in the unit in order to make the already late payment and keep the rest from going to auction. These people are not here to rob you, they don't want your things and I would even venture to say majority of them like Jessica would help you find ways to hang onto them. All you need to do is ask. Sure everyone has a story, sure we all go through hard times but with open and honest communication good intentions can become good deeds! I 100% recommend iStorage in Spring Texas. The only other thing I can say is if you are planning to store your items anywhere in Texas please keep in mind it is up to you how they are stored, and even in a climate controlled building things happened, storms, electrical outages, bugs, mold, rodents. If you wrap your items properly before storing them it is the easiest way to prevent your items from degrading. Deterioration IS the life cycle so stop blaming these storage unit companies for your inability to acknowledge that and accept that it is your responsibility to store your items properly. Go iStorage!!!
