About this Facility

iStorage Facility at 137 Summit St in Peabody, MA

iStorage at 137 Summit St offers a storage solution tucked into a well-traveled part of Peabody, just off Route 114 and minutes from downtown. This location sits near Northshore Mall, Bishop Fenwick High School, and several residential pockets along Summit and Goodale Streets. With convenient access to Danvers and Salem, it’s a smart option for households and small businesses across the North Shore.

Peabody is a place where storage can make everyday life easier. Some residents use it to swap out seasonal gear as New England weather changes. Others are running side businesses out of garages and need space for extra inventory. This facility also serves customers who are downsizing, renovating, or just trying to keep clutter in check. If you're looking for self-storage near you that blends convenience with flexibility, this spot is well worth considering.

What Features Does This Facility Have?

This location includes climate-controlled storage, which helps reduce the wear and tear that seasonal temperature swings can cause. These units are often used for home office setups, long-term document storage, or delicate belongings like framed artwork and wooden instruments.

Outdoor car storage is also available, providing a place to keep an extra car, small camper, or trailer off your driveway. The uncovered spaces offer simple drive-up access, making them a popular choice for customers who rotate vehicles between daily use and weekend travel. Security features include electronic gate access, exterior lighting, and surveillance cameras positioned around the property. The facility is designed for efficiency, with elevators and first-floor units available for those who want easier loading and unloading.

What Storage Unit Sizes Are There?

Availability of unit sizes varies by location. Typically, storage units come in three categories:

Small storage units (5x5, 5x10, 5x15) – These are big enough to hold a few boxes and smaller furniture pieces, like bookshelves or end tables.

Medium storage units (10x10, 10x15) – These units can store up to two bedrooms' worth of furniture. Mattresses, dressers, and large boxes can usually fit.

Large storage units (10x20, 10x25, 10x30) – These are ideal for storing furniture from a small house or multi-bedroom apartment. Large appliances, sofas, and storage totes can be stored safely.

If you need help choosing a storage unit size that fits your needs, check out our size guide or talk to a storage specialist at your local facility.

iStorage Self Storage FAQ

Is there a minimum rental period?

All leases are month-to-month with no long-term commitment required. You can store for as little as one month or continue your storage for as long as you need, even if you’re not sure how long that is at this time.

What documents do I need to reserve a storage unit?

We require a state or government issued ID*, like a driver's license or passport, and a method to pay your first month’s rent and any other fees you may owe. We recommend enrolling in our autopay service using a credit card to ensure easy and convenient payment.

*See checkout process for details.

Is There Anything I Can't Store?

Prohibited items include perishable goods, living things, illegal or illegally obtained items, hazardous or flammable materials, weapons and ammunition, and items that violate local, state, or federal laws.

How can I pay my rent each month for my storage unit?

NSA Storage offers an easy-to-use online payment portal where tenants can set up autopay or make a one-time payment with any major credit or debit card. During office hours, we can process a payment with any major credit or debit cards, contactless payment, check, or money order. Please note that all our locations are cashless except where prohibited by state or local law.

What is the difference between access hours and office hours?

Access hours are the times when our customers can access their units and either load or unload them. Access hours typically have a wider range than office hours. Office hours are the hours our office is open for business. Things that you may need to do during office hours include paying rent– should you opt to pay in person– purchasing additional moving supplies, and transferring or vacating a unit.

We just met both Tommy and Charlene at the facility. I spoke the day before on the phone with Tommy, returning the call based on my reservation. The first thing I shared with my gf was how impressed I was with Tom’s professionalism in dealing with him over the phone. Today, I had the pleasure of meeting both Tommy and Charlene, and was far beyond impressed with both representatives . Their professionalism alone exceeded all others I’ve dealt with in the industry, as I’ve shopped around to choose the right situation for me. These two representatives engaged in some meaningful conversation, represented their company and facility perfectly, and sold me on the confidence of their leadership and willingness to work with me. As for the facility, FANTASTIC. It is clean, well lit, well represented, and all questions with in-depth explanation were answered. To top things off, my gf will also be changing storage facilities and buying a unit here as well, solely based on the representation of two highly professional managers who more than exceeded expectations. I’m ecstatic about my experience and look forward to what I’m confident will be a mutually beneficial relationship. Thank you Tommy and Charlene. You both provided us with perhaps the best customer service experience we can ever expect anywhere. We will see you both soon.
