SecurCare Self Storage FAQ

Is there a minimum rental period?

All leases are month-to-month with no long-term commitment required. You can store for as little as one month or continue your storage for as long as you need, even if you’re not sure how long that is at this time.

What documents do I need to reserve a storage unit?

We require a state or government issued ID*, like a driver's license or passport, and a method to pay your first month’s rent and any other fees you may owe. We recommend enrolling in our autopay service using a credit card to ensure easy and convenient payment.

*See checkout process for details.

Is There Anything I Can't Store?

Prohibited items include perishable goods, living things, illegal or illegally obtained items, hazardous or flammable materials, weapons and ammunition, and items that violate local, state, or federal laws.

How can I pay my rent each month for my storage unit?

NSA Storage offers an easy-to-use online payment portal where tenants can set up autopay or make a one-time payment with any major credit or debit card. During office hours, we can process a payment with any major credit or debit cards, contactless payment, check, or money order. Please note that all our locations are cashless except where prohibited by state or local law.

What is the difference between access hours and office hours?

Access hours are the times when our customers can access their units and either load or unload them. Access hours typically have a wider range than office hours. Office hours are the hours our office is open for business. Things that you may need to do during office hours include paying rent– should you opt to pay in person– purchasing additional moving supplies, and transferring or vacating a unit.

My partner and I have been shopping for a new unit for a while, not just for ourselves but for my partner’s grandparents as well. We stumbled upon SecurCare storage by chance, and right off the bat it was instant good impressions! The first visit to the unit was on a Sunday. There had been a digital issue with the code we were given for the first entry, and within 60 seconds we were able to find a phone number AND get on the phone with a live agent after hours, who was able to help us get in so quickly and effortlessly. The property is clean and well-maintained, and spacious enough to get large vehicles in and out smoothly! Big relief. However, the BEST impression was from the property manager, Melissa. We had a little hiccup during one of our trips, and I called her the next morning to ask some questions. She instantly answered the phone and answered every question kindly and patiently, and said I could come in during office hours to sort a couple things out. I had gone in-person that same day, and she was friendly and all smiles right off the bat! She walked with me to our new unit, walked me through everything we had discussed on the phone, and once everything had been sorted out, she even offered to help us find the best option for my partner’s grandparents to move to this facility with us. That meant a lot and was a huge 180 from experiences we have had in the past at other storage facilities. It’s so refreshing to know somebody like her is on the premises: ready and willing to help when needed, making sure our belongings are protected and secure, and ensuring that we are all on the same page through every step of this transition. So a huge shoutout to Melissa for giving us a wonderful first-time experience and making this change-up as smooth as possible!
